Support Our Local Baseball Program: Come Out to Wallin Field

Dear Neighbor:

Starting this Sunday, your West U Rotarians will be volunteering in the Dugout concession booth at the games of the Challenger Division of WULL (West University Little League).

The Challenger Division is a baseball program for boys and girls ages five through the final year of high school or 22 (whichever comes first) with physical and mental challenges. The most fundamental goal of the Challenger Division is to give everyone a chance to play baseball and have a rewarding experience, regardless of limitations. This program affords every child the opportunity to participate in a structured athletic program and have a wonderful time.

This is an absolutely fabulous program, and I hope that you will join me in supporting it. The games are on each of the following Sunday afternoons, between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. at Wallin Field, at the intersection of University Boulevard and Auden Street: March 5, March 26, April 2, April 16, April 23, and April 30.

Come on out to the ballpark, enjoy a wonderful afternoon of baseball, and, while you’re there, please stop by the Dugout and say “hello” and buy a hot dog, a sno-cone or some candy to support this wonderful cause!

Your Neighbor,

John P. Barnes
